WINE CELLAR REPAIR
At Ateliers G. Paquette, our qualified technicians offer effective repair services for various wine cellar models. If yours is malfunctioning, consult the list of problems below before you buy a replacement, as we just might have the solution.
-
There’s noise coming from the back: Most modern wine cellars have a cooling fan motor, a compressor, solenoid valves and high-pressure hoses. These components can make various sounds, some of which are normal. However, some noises indicate that there’s a problem. Our team of technicians can accurately identify the source of the noise. Just give us a call so we can take a listen.
-
There’s noise coming from inside: Most new wine cellar models are equipped with one or more airflow fan motors, an electrical air heating system and low-pressure hoses that can make either normal or abnormal sounds. You can trust our experienced team of technicians to explain why yourcellaris so noisy. Reach out to us today to find out if a repair is needed.
-
There’s frost along the bottom: Check to see if the cellar’s doors are properly closed. If a door is left open for several hours or overnight, this will cause frost to build up inside the unit along the bottom. Additionally, make sure the seal around the door isn't cracked or otherwise damaged.
It should be noted that cellars with a cooling plate can sometimes develop a thin layer of frost along the inner walls which will melt when the compressor stops. However, it's not normal for frost to build up along the bottom of the appliance. This could suggest there’s a problem with the compressor or the sealed hose system. In this case, you'll likely need to schedule a service call with one of our technicians.
-
The cellar isn’t cold: Check to make sure the doors are properly closed. One possible explanation is that the door was left open for long enough that the interior of the unit started to warm up.
Additionally, examine the cellar’s temperature controls. (The user’s guide should indicate the recommended settings for white and red wine). Finally, confirm whether all the components, including the compressor, cooling fan and evaporator fan are working correctly. If in doubt, ask one of our technicians to inspect your cellar.
-
There’s an error code- Consult the appliance user’s manual to find out what problem corresponds with the error code displayed on your cellar. If necessary, contact us so that we can dispatch a technician to repair the issue.
